BASSWOOD: Tilia Americana Basswood is a lightweight hardwood found growing throughout Northeastern U.S. and the Great Lakes. The wood is creamy white in color, has a uniform texture and straight, indistinguishable grain. The wood is soft with low strength properties. Common uses include millwork, veneers, and carving.
